Kristin Massaro-Chamberlain, President
Hello, my name is Kristina Massaro-Chamberlain and I am your new upcoming PTA President for the 2017 – 2018 school year. I am a life long resident of South River and an alumni to the school system. Currently, I am a stay at home mom and proud parent to two wonderful kids who are attending the Primary school this year, with a third child on her way. I am also a Co-Leader to my daughter’s Girl Scout Daisy Troop. When I am not at the school volunteering you can find me at my children’s seasonal sport practices.
I look forward to strengthening past achievements set forth by my predecessors and implementing new goals this upcoming school year. With your help through fundraising and volunteering, I plan on this being a successful and rewarding year for our students, faculty, and parents alike.

Treasurer – Denise Markowski
My name is Denise Markowski and I am your Treasurer for the Primary School PTA this year. This is my first year as a Board Member and I am excited for the upcoming school year. I am a full time working Mom of two boys (ages 5 & 7) in Kindergarten and Second Grade. I have lived in South River for the past 10 years, but my husband’s family has a long history living in this town and we have a lot of pride in this community that I love being able to pass on to my children. I am also the District 3 Committeewoman for the South River Democratic Committee as well as Vice President of the Ladies Guild at my church. We have a wonderful school with dedicated teachers and volunteers and I look forward to a great year of working together to provide our children with the best experience possible!
Recording Secretary – Meredith Larson
Meredith Larson is a graduate of South River High School and came from a family of lifelong South River residents and graduates. She is the daughter of a retired SR educator and has a daughter in 1st grade. While in college, she was a substitute teacher for the school district. She has a Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Rutgers University in Labor and Industrial Relations and various other certificates in continuing education.
When she is not involved in the PTA or Girl Scouts, she is a full time Labor Representative for a Nurse and Licensed Technical Employee Union, JNESO- District Council 1 of the IUOE, working on day to day contractual issues, grievances, arbitrations and negotiations.
Corresponding Secretary – Heather Lefever
My name is Heather Lefever and I am the current secretary for the Primary School PTA.
I graduated from Monmouth university with an undergraduate degree in elementary education and history .
I’m currently a stay at home mom of 4 amazing children . Sophia 8 years old, Maxwell 5 years old, Charlotte 4 years old, and Hunter 4 years old.
I’m looking forward to working with the PTA, teachers, and other parents this year; to help our children have a fun and successful year.
